Agates
 
Agate is a variety of banded chalcedony formed from microscopic crystals of quartz.  The name Agate comes from the river Achetes in Sicily, now known as the river Drillo, where  Agates were found.  Another member of the chalcedony family is   Jasper.  The differences between the two are that Jasper has less regular patterns and are general opaque.  This is because Jasper is made of microscopic grains of crystalline quartz and agates contains    translucent bands made up of microscopic fibers of crystalline quartz called drusy.
Agates generally have a lower intensity and slower vibrational frequency than other stones but this is not considered a deficit, instead it is considered a calming, stabilizing and grounding stone. It  can calm feelings of being overwhelmed,     pressured, closed in or suffocating from current responsibilities.
 Agates builds self confidence by bringing acceptance of ones self.   Agates are useful in any kind of emotional trauma as it creates a sense of safety  and security and dissolves inner   tension.  It heals inner anger and fosters love and courage and encourages honesty.  Agates eliminate negative energy, it stimulates digestion, and heals the eyes and stomach.  It cleans the lymphatic system and pancreas,  strengthens blood vessels and heals skin disorders,   infections, colds, flu and the lungs.  Agate is said to protect from fever, cure insomnia, offers protection from bad dreams, promotes strength and ensures a healthy life.

Black Agate
Black Agate brings good fortune,removes jinxes and eliminate bad luck.  It increases concentration and clarity.  It  gives one a sense of strength and courage and has a calming effect during times of stress.  Black Agate helps bone marrow, allergies, the reproductive system, breast tumors and during menopause.  It protect new life and therefore is an excellent stone during pregnancy. 
Black Banded Agate
Black Banded Agate is an energy stone and is used for protection, relieves stress and restores the body's energy levels.
Blood Agate
Blood Agate is also know as Pigeon Blood Agate.  The color  Blood Agate is clear to milky white  with red spots which are due to heavy iron content. 
Blue Agate 
Blue Agate is a geode type of agate which ranges in color from light blue to a bright cornflower
blue to a deep blue-violet.
Blue agate, like Blue Lace Agate is a calming stone and has similiar healing powers for the throat.  It also calms the mind which assists in meditation.  It release worries and fears and creates a feeling of relief.
Blue Agate can also be used to heal skin irritations and infections such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis.

Larimer Blue Crazy Lace Agate
Larimer Blue Crazy Lace is a natural crazy lace agate that has been color enhances to produce the gorgeous Pacific blue color.  The color enhancing of crazy lace agate brings out the beautiful natural patterns of the stone. 
Blue Lace Agate
 Agate is a variety of banded chalcedony with microscopic crystals of quartz. 
Blue Lace Agate is a pale blue with white and darker blue lines in a wavy or lacey pattern. 
Associated with hope, harmony, positive thinking, joy, truth and makes the wearer more easy going.  It gives one the confidence necessary to speak up in all situations.   It is a stone for the enhancement of loyalty and trustworthiness.  
 Blue Lace works in a slow and steady manner as do all agates.  It is a calming and centering stone.  It can soothe nerves and worries and can calm overly stimulated children. 
Blue Lace is a powerful throat healer, heals thyroid deficencies, and throat and lymph infections.  It lowers fevers and treats arthritic and bone deformity, strengthens bones and heals fractures.  It also aids in healing capillaries and the pancreas.

Botswana Agate
Botswana Agate comes from Botswana Africa.  It is a banded chalcedony with fine lines of tan, mahogany, and white. This agate is beneficial for smokers and those who want to quit smoking.  Botswana Agate looks to solutions rather than dwelling on problems.  It is useful in helping the body assimilate oxygen, benefiting  the circulatory system and the skin.  It also aids depression. 
Brazilian Agate
This agate is thought to calm nervousness promotes happiness and peace.

Chinese Golden Agate
Chinese Golden Agate is an opaque stone ranging in colors from golds to deep reds.
Crazy Lace Agate
Crazy Lace Agate is a beautiful mixture of lacey patterns of rust, yellow, grays and tans. 
Fire Agate
Fire Agate is a brilliant multicolored gemstone that combines a deep brown basehue with flashes of orange, red, green and gold that look like flames.  Fire Agate's iridescent colors are produce by light interference at thin layers of regularly space iron oxide crystals within the chalcedony. 
Fire Agate lights one's inner fires of life force, creativity,  fills one with the zest for living and activates the senses and increases the pleasure one takes in everyday life.  It  can stimulate sexual and physical energy, increases stamina and circulation.   It can also enhance fertility in both women and men.   Fire Agate is a warming stone that is great in the vibrational treatment of poor circulation lethargy or depression. 
Fire Agate heals the stomach, the nervous and endocrine systems, and circulatory disorders.   It aids eyes, strengthening night vision and clearing vision at the inner, intuitive levels and outer, physical levels.  It can reduce hot flashes and removing heat from the body.

Green Red Agate
This type of agate consists of red-orange to dark green colors.

Green Striped Agate
This is a very pretty and exhilirating agate consisting of almost white stripes in a bright green stone.

Montana Agate 
Montana Agate varys in colors from a creamy light yellow to varying shades of brown, red, dark blue to black.   Most Montana Agates are found in gravel deposits from the Pleistoncene age near the Yellowstone River. 
Morocco Agate
Morocco Agate is a Rust-Brown color with a creamy white going throughout the stone.  It gets its name from Morocco where is has been found.
Moss Agate
Moss Agate is a dark green translucent stone with branch markings like foliage or moss.  It is a stabilizing stone strongly connected with nature.  It is said to refresh the soul and enable you to see the beauty in nature. 
It is considered a birthing crystal, assisting midwives in their work by lessening pain and ensuring a good delivery.
It improves self-esteem and strengthens positive personality traits.  It releases fear and stress. 
Moss Agate speeds up recovery and can be used to counteract long-term illness.  It is an anti-inflammatory and reduces swelling in the lymph nodes, boosts the immune system, and cleanses the circulatory systems. 
Moss Agate is also considered the stone of wealth as it attracts abundance.

Russian Lace Agate
Russian Lace Agate is also known as Bamboo Leaf Agate. It is a beautiful stone with a variety of colors of yellow, green, red, cream, and browns. 
Russian Lace Agate relieves stress, increases courage and self confidence, increases memory, energy, strength and longevity.  It also promotes creativity and instills harmony.

White Agate
This White Agate is extremely white and a creates a beautiful summer necklace.
White Agate grounds and balances the spiritual body and the higher mind, develops inner peace and tranquility, and aids the spirit in body balancing.
White Wood Agate
White Wood Agate is a unique stone of white with what looks like brown pieces of wood throughout.
Yellow Botswana Agate
The Yellow color of Botswana Agate is found only in Botswana.  It aids in depression, and benefits the circulatory system. 
Amazonite

Amazonite
Amazonite is an alkali feldspar mineral, a potassium aluminum silicate.  The name Amazonite is derived from the Amazon River in Brazil, where there are important Amazonite deposits.
Amazonite jewelry has been produced for over four thousand years.  Theseventh chapter of the Egyptian Book of the Dead was engraved on Amazonite.   It is believed to have been the third stone in the breastplate of Moses,  and was a popular amulet stone in Eqypt. 
Amazonite is a stone of harmony.  It is a truth teller and a peacemaker and it opens both the heart and throat to enhance loving communication.  It can give one clarity when they don't know what they want or what they feel.
Amazonite is helpful in cell regeneration and healing after trauma or injury.  It is an excellent stone to use for gout and arthritis.  It is helpful in preventing hair loss and helps to repair brittle hair and nails.  The stone dissipates negative energy and blockages within the nervous system.  It is bereficial in balancig the metablolic deficiencies that create osteoporosis, tooth decay ,calcium deficiency and  calcium deposits.

Russian Amazonite
This Russian form of Amazonite is generally considered rarer and is a darker teal with white lines running throughout the stone. 
Amber
Amber is an organic material made up of tree resin that solidified and became fossilized.  It has strong connections with the earth and is a grounding stone for higher energies.  The ancient Greek term for Amber was elektron, a word referring to the sun.  Amber is know to develop an electric charge when rubbed and the word 'electricity' is derived from the ancient Greek term for Amber.  The word 'Amber' comes from ambar, the Arabic word for ambergris, a similarly colored material discharged from the sperm whale and used in making perfumes. 
Amber  is a powerful healer and cleanser that draws disease from the body by absorbing pain and negative energy.  It treats the stomach, spleen, kidneys, bladder, liver ad gallbladder, alleviates joint problems, and strengthens the mucus membranes.    The warming and nurturing energies of Amber activates the life force and one's emotional desire for wellness so it is recommended to be worn or carried by anyone recovering from illnes or injury.
Mentally, Amber stimulates the intellect, clears depression and promotes a positive mental state.  It brings balance and patience and encourages decision making.

Amethyst

Amethyst is a member of the Quartz family.  It's color varies from pale to deep purple which is derived from the combination of trace amounts of iron and aluminum plus irradiation. 
Amethyst has always been viewed as a stone of royalty.  It is said to have been the ninth stone in the breastplate of Aaron and represented one of the twelve tribes of Israel. 
Amethyst is an extremely powerful stone with a high spiritual vibration which promotes love of the divine, and encourages selflessness and spiritual wisdom.   It is an excellent stone for meditation. 
Traditionally it was worn to prevent drunkenness and has a sobering effect and so it is now used to counter addictive behavior and thought patterns.  It helps balance the nervous system and the brain. 
Amethyst boosts production of hormones, strengthens the cleansing of organs and immune system.  It is an exellent cleanser for the blood, relieves physical, emotional and psychological pain or stress.  It eases headaches and releases tension.  Amethyst also reduces bruising, swelling,  treats hearing disorders, heals diseases of the lungs, skin conditions, and treats insomnia and brings restful sleep.

Andalusite
Andalusite is an aluminum silicate mineral which consists of gray crystals with black, carbonaceous cruciform patterns inside. The form of Andalusite with the carbonacious cross formations is also known as Chiastolite.  It is named after Andalusia in Spain, where it has been found.
Andalusite is a very grounded and comforting stone.  It can help sensitive people feel at home and safe.  It can help overcome loneliness, depression, anxiety, and isolation.

Blue Apatite
Apatite is a calcium phosphate mineral.  
Apatite is helpful for hyperactive and autistic children.  It clears confusion and expands knowledge and truth.  It also eases sorrow, apathy and anger. 
Blue Apatite has a very uplifting energy.  It can be used to soothe headaches and to stimulate eyesight.

Aquamarine-Morganite Mix
Aquamarine is a blue green variety of beryl which comes in a beautiful range of light blue colors.  It is a stone of courage.  Its calming energies reduce stress, quiet the mind and are good for cooling hot flashes to anger.
Aquamarine is useful for sore throats, swollen glands, and thyroid problems.  It strengthens the body's cleansing organs and aids the eyes, jaw, teeth and stomach. 

Morganite is a pink beryllium aluminum silicate rich in minerals.  Pure beryl is colorless however, if mangnaese is intercalated in beryl, the colorless gemstone turns into an enchanting pink morganite.  Morganite always radiates charm with a touch of tenderness.
Azurite
Azurite is a copper carbonate mineral which gets its name from its deep azure blue color.  It is frequently found in combination with Malachite, another copper carbonate. 
Azurite stimulates memory, clears stress, worry, grief and sadness.  It treats throat problems, arthritis and joint problems, aligns the spine, heals kidney, gallbladder and liver problems.  It also aids detoxification, treats the spleen, thryroid, bones, teeth, and skin.  Azurite is helpful in all issues of the brain and head.  It can soothe migraines, lessen tinnitus, and balances vertigo.
